Over the years Rod Best has been involved in training and
developing of singers and musicians as well as writing music
arrangements for small stage band through to large
orchestras, direction of major musical productions and song
composition.

He studied at the Sydney Conservatorium of
Music in Jazz Improvisation and Advanced Arranging,
developing a wealth of experience in composition and
arrangement in jazz and contemporary keyboarding styles.
He has also studied under some great Australian jazz piano
players including Tony Ansell, Mike Nock, Michael
Bartolomei, Chuck Yates, Judy Bailey, Dave Fennell, Vince
Genova and Kevin Hunt. He studied at Jazz Worx in
Brisbane and received an Associate Diploma in Jazz.

Rod is married to Jan and lives in Queensland, Australia.

Rod has released five instrumental albums called “Best Of Smooth”,
“The Best of Rod Best”, “Groove On”, “A Peaceful Place”

ANTONELLA LUALDI NEE / A GRANDI AU LIBAN


Antonella Lualdi, née Antonietta De Pascale le 6 juillet 1931 à Beyrouth, au Liban, est une actrice italienne.

 

De nombreux actrices / acteurs passent dans l’oubli médiatique alors qu’il existe des téléspectateurs, cinéphiles, fans, ayant aimé la série, le film et/ou même l’actrice / l’acteur

C’est le cas de Mme Antonella Lualdi que la plupart des téléspectateurs des générations 90 et + connaissent dans le rôle de Lucia ( épouse du Commissaire Cordier et père du Juge Cordier). Pierre Mondy jouant le rôle du commissaire.

Evidemment, les aînés reconnaitront Antonella Lualdi dans d’autres rôles, d’autres films comme par exemple : « Adorables créatures » (avec Daniel Gélin ). Antonella jouant le rôle de Catherine.

Elle naît à Beyrouth le 6 juillet 1931, son père, ingénieur civil italien, y étant chargé de la construction d’un pont et ayant épousé une Libanaise d’origine grecque. Elle y grandit en parlant couramment l’arabe, le français et l’italien.

Après quelques essais au théâtre pendant cinq ans, elle commence dans un film musical Signorinella (1949) ; puis la même année elle joue dans Canzoni per le strade.

 

Elle est immédiatement considérée comme une star au rang de Lucia Bosé et de Gina Lollobrigida. Dans les années 1950 elle participe à certains succès, tels Miracolo a Viggiù (1951), Ha fatto 13 (1951), La cieca di Sorrento (1952), È arrivato l’accordatore (1952), Le manteau (Il cappotto, 1952) d’Alberto Lattuada et surtout Les Vitelloni (1953) de Federico Fellini sur le tournage duquel elle rencontre Franco Interlenghi, qu’elle épouse en 1955. De cette union naissent deux filles : Antonella Interlenghi, qui devient actrice à son tour, et Stella qui a participé au film Top Crack (1967).

Ils jouent tous deux dans plusieurs productions : Il più comico spettacolo del mondo (1953), Pietà per chi cade (1954) et Gli innamorati (1955). Elle travaille aussi sans son époux : A Parigi in vacanza (1957), Pères et fils (Padri e figli, 1957) de Mario Monicelli, Il colore della pelle (1959), I delfini (1960), Appuntamento ad Ischia (1960), Le désordre (Il disordine, 1962) avec Alida Valli.

 

Elle joue Gli imbroglioni (1963), Se permettete parliamo di donne d’Ettore Scola (1964) avec Vittorio Gassman, Comizi d’amore (1965) de Pier Paolo Pasolini, Made in Italy (1965) de Nanni Loy et Un caso di coscienza (1970) de Gianni Grimaldi.

Après les années 1970, elle n’obtient plus beaucoup de rôles de relief, sauf La terrazza (1980) de Scola et Tutti gli uomini di Sara (1992).
